Hi, my name is Rabail Chandio.

I am an Assistant Professor and Extension Economist in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University. I am also affiliated with the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD). I completed my PhD from Agricultural Environmental and Development Economics (AEDE) department at The Ohio State University. My advisors were Dr. Ani Katchova and Dr. Leah Bevis.

My research interests include examining the choices and decision-making within the agricultural environment, exploring the incentives and outcomes for the stakeholders involved, and studying the contribution of agricultural policy. I believe in translating my research into actionable insights, programs and educational resources that can make a positive impact in improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities to whom my research relates.
